If you have assigned tasks to other staff members, or if tasks have been assigned to you, the Task assignments tab is visible in Document Central. When you select this tab, you can see a list of tasks that are currently assigned to you. You can also see the tasks that you have assigned to other people.
You can narrow the list of tasks displayed in a grid by clicking in a column header, and then selecting an appropriate filter. The buttons above each grid also can help you manage the tasks that display.
You can use the buttons in the grid toolbar to manage the appearance of the grid. The buttons and their functions are as follows:

Description
Reset Grid
Resets the grid to the default settings. Any changes you have made and not previously saved are discarded.
Refresh Grid
Refreshes the files displayed in the grid that meet the current criteria, but may have been added after the most recent search was performed. Any changes made to the grid are lost.
Displays a visual indicator of the file's status. The status indicators are as follows:
The file is checked in and available.
The file is checked out or locked by another user. To view the name of the person who has checked out or locked the file, hover your pointer over the indicator.
You currently have the file checked out.
Published
Indicates whether the file has been published to Portal.
Discussion
Displays the discussion icon if there is a discussion for the file.
File Name
Displays the name of the file for which a task is assigned.
Entity ID
Displays the ID for the entity associated with the file.
Entity Name
Displays the name of the entity associated with the file.
Task Title
Displays the name of the task.
Task Assigned To
Displays the name of the staff member the task is assigned to.
Task Assigned By
Displays the name of the staff member who assigned the task.
Date Task Assigned
Displays the date the task was assigned.
Task Status
Indicates the current status of the project.
Note: If the status of a task is changed to Unassigned, it is removed from the Task assignments tab.
Task Modified Date
Displays the most recent date the task status was changed.
Task Due Date
Displays the deadline for the task.
Task Approved By
Displays the name of the staff member who approved the task.
You can perform the following actions on this tab:
Right-click the task you want to edit, and then select Task assignment.
Edit the task information as needed. The information that you can edit depends on the permissions assigned to you. See Assigning and Updating Tasks to learn more about the Assign Task window.
The task history is included as part of the file history. To view the history, right-click the task, and then select History. Task-related actions are indicated in the Operations and Details columns. See Viewing File History for more information about the History window.
